Cal Calsot is a small accommodation that can house 12 people, distributed in 4 double rooms and 1 triple / quadruple room. The living room, the dining room and the garden are common areas, in which you may share conversation and experiences with the other guests if you feel like it.

Cal Calsot is a typical Cerdanya manor house dating back to the 18th century, symbol and witness of the country life that remained for centuries in the Pyrenees, remembrance of an ancestral way of life now gone. Nowadays it is classified as Catalan Cultural Heritage.

It has never been uninhabited, but with our arrival we gave it a new life.

The Rooms

We refurbished the house for its new purpose keeping in mind sustainability, quality, comfort and simplicity, always respecting the original architecture and structure; contributing with our creativity in designing the spaces, creating some of the furniture and carefully choosing every object, every detail in the house.

Book the room of your choice; they are all bright, without TV set, without noise. Rationally designed, they transmit peace because they contain only the essential. Comfortable, you can take off your shoes because the wood floor is warm; with a functional, modern bathroom and a spacious shower. Spacious enough to practice yoga.

The Wild Garden

A monumental portal reveals the ensemble of Cal Calsot’s three buildings. The House, the barn and the cowshed, surrounded by the threshing floor, which in the past was used for managing cattle or threshing grains, among other tasks.

Today, the threshing floor is an experimental garden, where we grow some species of local flora from our closest surroundings, together with the herbs we use to season our cooking.

Here you can read, converse, listen to the birds’ song, simply rest under the linden’s shadow when it’s hot, or bask in the sun during the colder seasons.

Every season has its charm, its colours, its light; the garden changes, transforms and evolves. Enjoy it!

Living Room and Dining Room

It is a large, open-plan space sharing both uses.

Enjoy the warm light flooding through both balconies, with a view to the Cadí mountain range, the comfortable sofas, the wood stove in winter; and the sole large table to wake up to the aroma of coffee and recently toasted bread in the morning; to play a chess game in the afternoon or to enjoy our dinner in the evening, all this while sharing a conversation and discussing the day.

You will also find a corner devoted to reading, small refuge for those of you wishing to deepen your knowledge of the local environment, flora, fauna, history; and legends, as well as information about local activities.

Warehouse / Workshop
for Bike Tourers and Hikers

If you travel by bicycle, carry skis or hiking gear, you may use this area to store them. You will also find a small workshop for small repairs, a bicycle pump, a large sink to wash your boots in and a radiator to dry them; as well as a washing line.

If you need to wash your bicycle, need a laundry service, or want information about nearby routes; ask away and we will be delighted to help you.
